Write a Story

There is a misconception about the Ivy plant, often seen as something that grows by feeding and gaining sustenance from the thing it clings to. In truth though, it is ruthless loyalty that personifies this plant. Once the Ivy embraces the tree, it never detaches even when the tree dies, the ivy is held to soil by its own roots. I wanted to create an image that explores this theme of loyalty, obedience and fidelity.
